Team Influenza Captures 2009 RPC Crown

New RPC champs, Team Influenza, poses with Level Up! and Gravity top honchos during the awarding ceremonies.


Team Influenza overwhelmed Team El Cuerpo 3-0 at the final match of the 2009 Ragnarok Philippine Championships last Friday, August 21 at the SM City North EDSA Skydome.


The Skydome was jam-packed with Ragnarok fans and Level Up! gamers eager to witness the battle among RO greats.


Witnessed by thousands of Ragnarok and Level Up! gamers – Coerce of Sakray, Finest of Valhalla, Devour of Valkyrie, Coerce of New Chaos, Reunited of New Chaos, Team Influenza of New Chaos, Team El Cuerpo of New Chaos and Team BitzBox of Valhalla – unleashed might and magic hoping to claim this year’s RPC laurels. And though all 8 teams gave everything they’ve got, only Influenza, El Cuerpo and BitzBox placed first, second and third respectively.

This November, Team Influenza will bear the Filipino flag and face the world’s best Ragnarok gamers at the 2009 Ragnarok World Championships in Japan. When asked onstage about the country’s chances in capturing the world title this year, Joelson Go, the winning team’s captain roared – “The time is now!”

Team Influenza members are also part of the Coerce guild who won their ticket to the RPC finals by reigning supreme in the regional tournaments this year.


LU! Marketing Director Jake San Diego and Ragnarok Brand Manager Ryan Sacares with our special visitors from Gravity who flew all the way from Korea to witness the event.


Ragnarok fans and the rest of the Level Up! community were not only served with piping hot PVP action, they were also treated with great music from Ang Bandang Shirley, Check and Zeros Over Tokyo. Gamers enjoyed fun games with some lucky participants bagging cool in-game items from their favorite Level Up! game.

The 2009 Ragnarok Philippine Championships was presented in partnership with Gravity, PC Express, PLDT MyDSL, SM Cyberzone and SM City North EDSA Skydome.
